When Should You Go Full Time in Network Marketing?
There are two very important things you need to know before you go full time in network marketing.
These are crucial for your long term success in this industry.
First: What’s Your Schedule Look Like?
Make sure you have a daily routine. This can be easily missed, sometimes people get lucky and make some upfront bonus money while the residual is growing and leave their job too soon.
Here is what I experienced in my first company. I went full time after about 6 or 7 months. It was exciting to leave my job but after a few days I found myself not knowing what to do.
There was a time I found myself at the video store renting movies in the early afternoon. I remember saying to myself I think I should be working my home business? It was kind of funny.
After that day I committed to myself to crafting a daily routine. If you are not sure what to do and you don’t have a daily plan of action check out this blog post I did here. It will help you create your own daily method of operation.
Second: What’s Your Income Look Like?
The second one is just as important as the first one. It’s your income! A top leader once shared this tip with me and I will never forget it. You go full time when you double your monthly income needs or do more for 6 months. Here is an example, let’s say you need $4000 to live monthly. This is including your rent or mortgage, car, misc expenses and putting aside for your savings. When you reach $8000 per month or better for 6 months now you can comfortable go full time.
One last thing you should think about. I believe Jim Rohn said this, “We all know facts tell stories sell.” So if you are making a ton of money working your network marketing business part time, your story is so much more powerful than if you were full time. Sometimes people don’t work as hard when they go full time. So don’t rush, you will know when you are ready.
