Thanksgiving is a big Holiday which brings families closer together. On Thanksgiving families are happy to get together and are focused on gratitude and being thankful.
I recently read this book by Rhonda Byrne called The Magic. You may remember Rhonda from the book and movie called The Secret. I am bringing up this book because it’s all about gratitude, and reminds me of Thanksgiving.
When I read a book with exercises, the information stays with me a lot longer. Rhonda really knows how to do that in this book. Instead of calling the book by chapters, she calls them by days. Day 1 – 28, each day is a new exerciser on gratitude.
“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” ~John F Kennedy
How to Practice Gratitude
I think lots of people are unsure how to practice gratitude. Be grateful for what you have today and you will see more of it. For instance, if you don’t have a lot of money and you want more, be grateful for what you have. I forgot where I heard this, but gratitude attracts more of what you desire.
Here is a suggestion on how to write out what you are grateful for.
Instead of writing out:
I am so grateful for what?
Write it out this way:
I am so happy and grateful for what?, because why?
Adding in that why, makes it more emotional and you feel it more.
How to Make Your Thanksgiving Magical
Start practicing gratitude today. Write out a list of 100 things you are grateful for. Use the suggested way I mentioned to you. That is a great exercise to do on this Thanksgiving. Make sure you show gratitude to the people you are spending your Thanksgiving with. Leave me a comment and let me know one thing you are grateful for this year. Thanks, have a Happy Thanksgiving.
Much Success and Gratitude!
