Review: Craigslist Ad Posting Service

craigslist-ad-posting-serviceAre you thinking of hiring a Craigslist posting service?

I have used a few services and wanted to share my own experience with you and what others have told me working with different ones.

Now if you are a Craigslist ad poster, please don’t get upset if you are legitimate and do a great job posting ads for your clients. This is not to target at anyone as this is just my professional review.

Why Hire a Craigslist Poster?

There are two main reasons why you would look to hire a Craigslist ad poster.

  1. The first reason is you are posting your ads and you can’t get them to go live. Your ads consistently get flagged and deleted. It is becoming really frustrating and you feel like your head is going to explode and you head over to google and search Craigslist Posting Service.
  2. The second reason is you see the value in outsourcing. Delegating your ad posting task to someone can save you time. This allows you to focus your time and energy on something more productive.

Craigslist does not allow ad posting services so when you see them, keep in mind these companies tend to keep a low profile. Although someone just pointed out to me that this is no longer in Craigslist terms of use.

Be Aware of Red Flags

Because these cl posting companies keep a low profile it is easy for them to make a fast get away with your money. Sometimes they will ask for a lot of money upfront and disappear. Be very careful not to fall into this trap. Try to work out a plan where you give them money after the job is completed or just pay for a few days of work until you build a relationship. Another red flag is if they are posting for you and a lot ads are getting deleted, they sometimes just disappear with your money because the job is to hard and they don’t want to give you back the money so they disappear. This has happened to me before.

Ad Posters Are Not Equal

Just because someone claims they post ads on Craigslist and claim they are the best at it, doesn’t mean they are. The amount of ads they post is very high, so they need to constantly switch things up. There is something called “Junk Text”. This is very common for an ad poster to use because they post so many ads. Craigslist does not like duplicate content and they flag you for abusing it. Junk text is a bunch of words or text that mean pretty much nothing at the very bottom of your ad. Sometime a poster will add different characters to the title to change things up. To me this is very unprofessional.

What Should You Do?

Well that is really up to you. Are your ads getting flagged and deleted? Do you feel like you need to outsource your Craigslist ad tasks to someone else? If you really feel you need to hire a Craigslist ad poster, keep in mind these red flags I mentioned. Don’t let this happen to you. If you find a really good poster for Craigslist, stay with them.
