How to Be Persistent in MLM Without Annoying Your Prospects

benjamin franklin quotesThere’s a HUGE difference from being annoying and being persistent in MLM. If you are a true network marketer than you are persistent.

If you are someone that is still unsure about persistence then you feel you may be annoying people. That is normal to feel like that when you first get involved in MLM. This blog should help clear that up for you.

Quotes on Persistence

“I will persist until I succeed.” ~Og Mandino

“You can’t go through life quitting everything.  If you’re going to achieve anything, you’ve got to stick with something.” ~From the television show Family Matters

“Never stop pedaling to power your dreams.” ~Terri Guillemets

“Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go.” ~William Feather

Annoying vs. Persistent

If you think you are being annoying than you are NOT a network marketer yet. The person that doesn’t understand this will say, I don’t want to be annoying to my prospects. If you feel you are being annoying than you probably are. Reading this post on follow-up with your network marketing leads, will help clear that up if you feel that way.

I rarely have anyone say to me I am annoying and I follow up consistently. I do have people say to me a lot, “wow you are really persistent.” You see the people you want to work with are the people that appreciate the follow-ups and understand them.

Being Needed

Being persistent does not mean you are needed. But being needed is the last thing you want to be. Prospects are really turned off by this big time. Follow-up with your prospects but have the posture if they do decide to join you that’s great, if not no big deal. Posture is you care, but not that much.

Also, being persistent will help you get better at communicating with your prospects. When you get better at communicating with your prospects you will enroll more people. I hope this blog helped clear up the difference between being annoying and being persistent for you. If this was an issue you needed help with and this helped you please leave me a comment.

Much Success and Gratitude!

  2. Thanks Rich! I may say that lol

  3. Great article Tom. It’s a good idea to be persistent. A lot of people would only reach out to a prospect once then scratch them off the list.

    Thanks for sharing!

  4. Tom,

Great post, here. My definition of being persistent with your MLM Prospects is to follow up with your prospects every six months until they join or die. I don’t think you should ever pressure them to join, but you have to keep following up. It’s all in how you do it.

    Great post and great blog.
