Craigslist Training: Paid Ads Vs Free Ads

free-ads-paid-ads-craigslistThe big question I’ve been hearing lately is regarding  paid ads on Craigslist.

Are you are unsure about paid ads vs free ads on Craigslist?

This blog and video will help you find out if you have to pay for them and if it’s a smart idea.

Do You Have to Pay For Ads on Craigslist

Some areas you do have to pay for, it depends what city you live in. Click on help and you can search for the paid cities. SF bay area is $75 a post. All other paid cities are $25. When you renew an ad, you will pay again. There are other areas you have to pay for and I show you in detail in the video listed below.

Should You Pay For Ads on Craigslist?

Yes! You absolutely should! First, get good at posting free ads and learn all of the rules of Craigslist. When you learn the ropes, see what your budget is and try a paid ad. For instance is you have a $25 weekly budget and you know when you will place an ad you get 25 leads, is it worth it? Remember, a lead is a lead is a lead. If you are a business owner paying $1 per lead that is awesome!

Craigslist is a great place to get leads. I do not receive any money telling you to pay for an ad on Craigslist, but I do hope you see the value. I put together a Craigslist course to help you become better at marketing there. This course will help you understand how to use Craigslist. You can check it out here.

Much Success and Gratitude!

I have not placed a ad, I am going to get off the fence
    thanks for your emails

  2. Thanks Tom. I haven’t started using ads yet but it does look like a good avenue for me to consider. Although craigslist isn’t that popular here I’m sure your tips will work well with other sites.

    • Right now Craigslist is pretty popular in the United States. But hopefully it will become popular in your area. Thanks Brian!

  3. With my business education for real estate investing and the investment being from 1,000 to 20,000 using the paid account could add up, as Im just getting into the national posting and was just flagged for removal of 50 ads as taught by another system. Any suggestions?

    • What section are you trying to post in? Craigslist doesn’t allow National posting. I am not sure if you knew that yet?
