how successful people winYou can’t go wrong reading any book by John C. Maxwell. How Successful People Win caught my eye while I was at the store shopping and I picked it up right away.

This book is not big, but contains a huge amount of value. Also the knowledge and information is really straight to the point. I see this as a book I would read this continuously over again. Depending on the person, you may get something different out of the book each time you read it.

“People may hear your words, but they feel your attitude.” – John Maxwell

“Failing forward” is the ability to get back up after you’ve been knocked down, learn from your mistake, and move forward in a better direction.” – John Maxwell

“Make a point to continually search for a better way of doing things, even when things are going well, to ensure that a better alternative has not been overlooked and to keep your creative talents in practice.” – John Maxwell

Make The Changes That Count

I just finished reading this book and I have so many thoughts I can share with you that are really empowering. I am going to share with you a little something from the chapter called, “Make The Changes That Count.” If we want to improve and grow as a person, John suggests we do the below Five Things.

1 Change Yourself – If you want people around you to become better it starts with you becoming better. If changing yourself seems overwhelming, you can start with something small.

2 Change Your Attitude – When you try and change things that are out of your control like other people you will be very disappointed. The beauty of changing your attitude is you are completely in control of that. When you start to change the way you look at things, things start to change.

3 Change Your Nongrowing Friends – Your friends can lift you up and follow your dreams or they can get very negative and ask you to join them on the couch.

4 Determine to Live Differently Than Average People – Three things you can do. Find positive ways to approach your problems. Don’t allow your feelings to determine your behavior. Act differently, finish what you start.

5 Unlearn What You Know to Learn What You Don’t Know – There are many things that each of us learns are wrong, and we must unlearn them if we want to get better.

Powerful right? Did you read this book or any other books by John Maxwell? Write a comment below and share your mind..
